I think I need to create a whole new section on my blog for information on this movement. I’d like to not only keep myself informed but also be able to inform others. Most of what I have been finding has come to me via Twitter replies to some of my own tweets. Then I started rattling cages amongst my Facebook friends. I think I may have stirred a sense of fear up in one of liberal friends. Although, I can’t see how if Texas did secede that it would effect him.

I have been following a candidate running for governor, but I need to try and pick up on a much broader view. What do most Texan’s think of this idea? What planning is being thought through if Texan were to do this? I have a feeling I will come up with many more questions before all is said and done.

So I will continue to Google and even look for some Texas newspapers to read. I don’t see this country turning itself around anytime soon, too many people seem to like having the government tell them how to live.

  1. Texas must secede from the union in order for the state to survive as the entire west needs to withdraw.

  2. I’m thinking the south, I’d like California to stay away. It’s my opinion, that they are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

  3. With this country moving in a direction that is not what the founding fathers hoped we would hold dear. What we would hold dear such as individual freedom and liberty is being stolen from us as we move towards total socialism and dictatorship. While most of the country is hoping for this downfall, free trade is one of the biggest problems this country faces and unless the West withdraws from the union, free trade and socialism will change the face of this nation. Support Texas’s attempts to secede from the union. WMM

Free trade as destoyed this nation, the jobs of millions and has placed this nation on a dangerous course to total socialism. Free trade must be eliminated if our American economy is to survive and keep the jobs at home. Our economy was never set up to compete in a world economic environment; it was intended to work within the confines of this country for the benefit of the American citizen.
THE SOLUTION: THE WEST NEEDS TO WITHDRAW FROM THE UNION! WMM

  5. There are states out west – California – that are part of the problem, not part of the solution. I think you will find that more southern states will be in line will seceding.

I am not sure why it has taken so long for Texas to declare her independence from the United States? I hope there isn’t a yellow streak running down Texas’ back. I am planning on running for state senate from Utah, and one of the first things I am going to do is recommend full secession for Utah.

  7. I still feel Texas should lead the way for secession, which will allow the smaller western states to do the same. It is time the West forms its own union.
